Electronic cymbals & snare

Feel every
radius.

Silicone-topped electronic cymbals and a chrome multi-sensor snare. Quiet enough for 2 a.m. Even enough that you stop thinking about pads.

r / 01 — The line

Four circles.
One feel.

Three cymbals and a snare, built on the same silicone-and-sensor platform, so every surface on your kit answers the same way.

r / 02 — Feel

Grab the edge.
Anywhere.

A force sensor runs the full circumference of every 314R cymbal, so a choke works wherever your hand lands, not just at a marked spot. Let go and it rings again.

  • Silicone top

A softer, quieter surface than hard rubber, with a natural rebound under the stick.

  • 360° edge choke

Full-circle choke sensing, so grabbing the cymbal feels like grabbing a cymbal.

  • Even response

Velocity stays consistent across the surface. No hot spot where one hit suddenly jumps.

r / 03 — Zones

Bell. Bow.
Edge.

The 12″ is a dual-zone crash: bow and edge, with choke. The 15″ and 17″ are triple-zone: add a separate bell for ride patterns, or run them as a 2-zone crash.

Crash zone + 360° choke

Triple-zone needs a module input that supports a 3-zone ride (two jacks). On a single TRS cable it plays as a 2-zone crash with choke.

r / 04 — The snare

Mirror chrome.
Many sensors.

A 14″ mirror-chrome shell with a white mesh head and a black rim guard. Several sensors sit under the head and feed one output, so a stroke reads the same near the rim as it does in the middle. The base is lightweight black polymer, which keeps it easy to move between rooms.

r / 05 — Quiet

Built for
2 a.m.

Silicone takes the clack out of practice. Put on headphones, play the fill you've been chasing all week, and nobody else in the apartment has to know.

r / 06 — The name

π × r.

Every cymbal is a circle. Trace one from edge to edge, over the top: that arc is π × r.

We named the brand after the shape we spend our days on. Say it “three-fourteen-R.” 314R is a brand of 314Retails LLC.

r / 07 — Questions

Will 314R work with my drum module?

Every 314R piece uses a standard ¼″ TRS output. The 12″ connects as a 2-zone cymbal with choke. The 15″ and 17″ connect as a 2-zone crash on one cable, or as a 3-zone ride on modules that support a 3-zone ride input.

Does the snare tell where on the head I hit?

No. The sensors combine into one output to give an even response across the head; they don't report position. What you get is the same velocity for the same stroke, wherever it lands.

What's the snare made of?

A mirror-chrome shell and hoop, a white mesh head, a black rim guard, and a lightweight black polymer base.

How quiet is it?

Much quieter than an acoustic kit and quieter than hard rubber pads. You'll still hear the stick, so it's “apartment quiet,” not silent.
